mobile phone detection cameras

The Mobile Phone Detection Program rolled out in New South Wales from 1 December 2019 and drivers caught using their mobile devices whilst operating a vehicle face fines and points deducted from their licence.

Covering both fixed and portable detection cameras, warning letters will be issued as part of a three month grace period from the start of the program and following that, will result in a $344 fine ($457 in a school zone) as well as the loss of 5 demerit points or 10 points during double demerit periods.
